Explained: how to adjust your glasses at home properly

Lensmart 2023-03-30 16:36:00

Every part of glasses has close relations with others. The curvature of the frame, the angle between the nose pad and the bridge, as well as the forward inclination of arms and the frame. Any incongruity may lead to discomfort in wearing.

Thus, we should often check whether the nose pad fit the bridge, and whether the arms height matches the shape of the face. Since everyone's face shape and ear position are different, especially for new glasses, factories adjust glasses according to fixed standard. It is likely to feel discomfortable when glasses is not adjusted based on your own needs.

Generally, how many cases are there that glasses fail to receive proper adjusted? For instances, the angle of the right leg is greater than that of the left one; the length of the bend of the right arm is too short; the right part of the nose pad was higher than the left part; the right part of the nose pad tilts to the left; the left arm is lower than the right one; glasses sit too low or too high on your nose...

When you find your glasses is crooked, how can we do in addition to let professionals in the glasses store help us adjust? Don't worry about your frame, slight adjustment is ok. When you think your glasses are distorted or uneven, you only need a slight adjustment, so that you can reuse them. Here are some tips to adjust the glasses.
